Psittamix

Psittamix vitamin and mineral powder
Amino acids, vitamins and minerals for Parakeets and Parrots.
All seed mixtures are deficient in lysine, arginine, choline, riboflavin, calcium, phosphorus and iodine. Seeds are lacking vitamin D
3 and B12. The quantities of vitamin A, carotene and B-vitamins are highly variable. For a good condition of the bird, a complete moult, a high rate of fertilisation and carry-over of nutrients to the egg, these nutrients are indispensable.
Water consumption depends on the species of bird and the quantities of consumed green food and fruit. Adding nutrients to the drinking water of most psittacines is questionable, because of their low and variable water consumption. If Parakeets and Parrots are refusing to consume soft food, the only method to have these birds consume their daily required nutrients is to sprinkle PSITTAMIX over food, which is eagerly accepted. The birds should consume their fixed ration daily. If possible gently persuade them to consume the soft food Aves-Plus.

How to use: Mix or sprinkle PSITTAMIX over food that is eagerly accepted, e.g. soaked bread, fruit etc. Do not sprinkle over seed. Dietary deficiencies are prevented by offering the birds PSITTAMIX on a daily basis. Offer also cuttlefish bone and oyster shell grit as sources of calcium and insoluble grit to help grind the seeds in the gizzard.
Contents: 180 and 600 gram
Extensive instructions of the quantities to be offered to different bird species are presented on the label.
Advantages: PSITTAMIX is a complete alternative when soft food is refused by Parakeets and Parrots, contains all nutrients which are deficient in seed mixtures, includes excellent sources of digestible calcium, and vitamin D
3 for maintenance of the skeleton, dosage completely under control, see label, using PSITTAMIX, nutrient deficiencies belong to the past, including often experienced vitamin A and calcium deficiencies
