Foreign Finch Tropical
Tropical birds originated in warmer climates. The largest group is made up
of the Finch Tropicales, which originate in Australia (Zebra Finch, Gouldian Finch...)
and in Africa (waxbills...). The majority are true seedeaters, that feed on all
kinds of ripe and unripe grass seeds in the wild. This also makes them
relatively easy to keep with a well-balanced seed mix as the main feed. A mix
based on very fine millet seeds shall be used especially for the smaller
Finch Tropicales.
This mix from Versele Laga is one of the best most comprehensive available.
