Worms are a common problem in the aviary and most birds carry worms to one
degree or another. They can be picked up from the ground or transmitted from
wild birds in the garden. For a healthy birds a mild infestation of worms is not
usually a problem, but, once a bird is not in top condition worms are quite
capable of actually killing a bird. So regular worming of all your stock is
advisable.
